Top Car Park and Information Centre
We want to create a good quality visitor car park. This will require it to be properly surfaced and parking bays marked out.
We also need to move the Information Centre, away from the development site. We want to place it close to the car park. It will then be used whilst the development is being built. The location will give visitors a first class view across the new development, allowing them to watch its construction. We will work with local schools and colleges to enable study visits during the construction process.

Retaining the Sea Wall
Many of you know about the existing enforcement notice requiring the temporary sea wall to be removed.
Shorthorn has been cleared. This increased the beach area for summer 2010. A “summer” car park was created on Crinnis which has been reopened for public use during the winter. It is still available.
An application was submitted to Cornwall Council in November 2010 for the retention of the wall on Crinnis. The Council has asked for a flood risk assessment which we are currently working on. A timescale for removal of the sea wall will be agreed with the council. It has been suggested that the works to remove the existing temporary sea defences shall commence not later than one month following the date on which planning permission (of the hybrid application) is challenge free.
We would like to move the sea wall material just once from its current position to its permanent location because by moving it twice around, £1 million will be wasted which could be used elsewhere.
