The developer and project team
Ampersand – the investor

Ampersand bought the site in the autumn 2002 and will build and manage the resort. The company is an entity of the Commercial Estates Group (CEG), which was established in 1989 and manages an investment portfolio of 83 property projects across the country with a total value of over £720 million. CEG specialises in regeneration projects and is a commercial, residential and mixed-use property company with offices in London, Harrogate and Cornwall.

As with its other projects, CEG believes in long-term commitment and Ampersand will maintain ownership of The Beach once it is operational. More than 50 different consultancies ranging from ecological specialists and environmental experts to window designers and landscape gardeners have been involved in this ground breaking project to date. There are too many to list here but the following names give you an idea of the type of leading specialist companies we have called upon to provide what we believe will be the very best imaginable.
